Go fly a kite. The 64th Ocean Beach Kite Festival (March 3, 2012) features kite making, arts and crafts, food and entertainment, and of course – kite flying. This is a free day of festivities including a crafts fair, food and entertainment along with kite making, decorating and a flying contest, put on by the Kiwanis Club.
