Continuing the spirit of local events such as Sunday’s “Paddle-Out Surf Memorial;” this Friday, May 11th, the San Diego community will band together as it has done so many times in the face of adversity when the San Diego Chargers host a “Celebration Of Life” for fallen hometown NFL hero Tiaina “Junior” Seau, who died May 2nd at his home in Oceanside.
The event will fittingly take place at Qualcomm Stadium, the Bolts home field where Junior played some of his best football. The ceremony is open to the public; parking and admission are free.
The community-wide tribute will feature guest speakers sharing their uplifting memories of Junior Seau and the incredible impact he made on San Diego, it’s citizens and the rest of the country.
