Two fan favorites were sent home on this week’s Dancing With The Stars after a double elimination that left many shocked.
The first round of eliminations came down to Kelly Monaco and Kirstie Alley, who earned the lowest combined score out of the eight remaining dancers. Kirstie was unfortunately unable to round up enough votes to survive another week. Though she was sad to leave, she gave a heartfelt goodbye to the dancing stage.
“The second time around, it was very special to me,” Kirstie told the crowd. “I learned more about dancing, believe it or not…and I want to thank Maks because he was so patient with me.”
The star later took to Twitter to spread some positivity about her Dancing experience.
And now we carry on!!! One ride comes to an end and the next one takes off..zero to sixty in a heartbeat ..all love to ALL of you!!!

Her partner Maks also had some reassuring words and let her know even though the show had come to an end, their close friendship would live on.
“@kirstiealley: @MaksimC I love and adore you...onward on our colossal journey...forever in my heart...love, K”
I'm NOT going anywhere!

The second elimination round came down to the three men, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno and Gilles Marini, but it was the former leader of the bunch Gilles who didn’t get enough votes to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
“In the end, it was just an incredible experience to have done it twice,” said Gilles. “I tried my very best. Peta was just an angel out there.” He also thanked his wife for supporting him along the way through long rehearsals.
He also thanked his fans and later took to Twitter to apologize to them for not making it to the semi-finals.
So sorry about tonight. I love you all . Thanks so much for all the support and votes . #Life :(

There was also music performances a-plenty with Kylie Minogue kicking off the results show with her nostalgic 1987 hit “The Locomotion.” The international pop star appeared on the show in celebration of her 25th anniversary in music and release of her new album The Abbey Road Sessions.
Also performing on the DWTS stage was R&B star Ne-Yo, who debuted his hit single “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself).” Ne-Yo had no problem getting the audience moving with this dance hit, especially with the ladies, who reached their hands up for the star in excitement.
And the announcement was made that guest judge Paula Abdul is returning to the show next week, but this time as a performer. Abdul also hinted to an additional “surprise” when tweeting about the appearance, but as to what that surprise may be, we are unfortunately left in suspense until next week’s show.
.@DancingABC So excited to perform on #DWTS on 11/20! I have another surprise for you guys but can’t share just yet! xoP
