A large contingent of countries are involved in the search for Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, which vanished after leaving Malaysia about a week ago. The Boeing 777 plane had 239 people on board.

Theories include sudden explosion, hijacking, suicide mission, and more extreme conspiracy theorists suggest alien abduction or a  Bermuda Triangle-like scenario.

Despite a lot of theories, there are still no real answers. It’s a huge undertaking to search the thousand of miles of ocean and surrounding land masses.

Here’s where you come in.

Crowdsourcing website, TomNod.com, is asking you to volunteer to help look through NASA and other satellite images and tag any unusual things like wreckage, rafts, oil slicks, or anything else that looks out of place.  You can click HERE to sign up

So far, over 200,000 people have signed up, including the San Diego State University Visualization Lab.

What are you waiting for?  Turn off the TV “reality” shows, and turn on your computer and be part of something real.
