Let the wedding planning begin. Whoa. It is so overwhelming.
First off, I have never been the type to obsess about how I wanted my wedding to be. I just want to save money — I don’t think it should be this grand, over-done thing.
Here’s what my perfect wedding would be:
I would like to rent a pretty big house in San Diego, a house with a big yard for the ceremony and reception.
I only want taco guys making street tacos.
I want big jugs of sangria, margaritas, and lemonade. I also want Mexican beer and wine.
My sister is a wedding florist, so I’m covered there 🙂 Plus, I really think I don’t want many flowers… mostly candles.
I want a boho, funky dress.
That all sounds pretty simple and fun, right? 🙂

Meanwhile…Here are some recent photos from my life 🙂
Here is our new dog Chocolatito looking scared of Robert’s boss, Keith’s dog, Kona. They were pretty cute together.
On Friday, after the show, I went to a luncheon/fashion show with my family.
It was a themed luncheon, “Going For The Gold.” My grandpa was from Norway, so my mom made these cute glasses for us to wear.
On Saturday night I made pasta from scratch. It was amazing.
I used my metal pasta roller. I added cooked, chopped bacon, drained with the fat removed, and chopped onions and mushrooms. I Sauteed them in garlic, butter and white wine with jumbo raw shrimp. I then added the cooked pasta and tossed it around.
It was SO DELICIOUS. Oh man, my mouth is watering.
And, in closing, I want to mention again that my sweet, awesome, hard-working dad is still looking a job.
I truly feel that he is being age discriminated. It’s so crazy. He is only 69. That isn’t old. The world is so expensive now and people have to work into their aging life. So, if you have any ideas or leads on a full-time or part-time job, let me know 🙂
