My life is going to change today.
I am getting new furniture and I couldn’t be more excited. The guys from Father Joe came yesterday to take away my old furniture. I had that old couch and that old chair since my divorce. It was furniture that I once shared with my ex.
Every time I walked into my house I used to let out a sigh. It made me feel kinda bummed out. Lately, I’ve been really annoyed by it all. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy brand new stuff… a couch, a chair, a rug, a coffee table an ottoman, two lamps and a side table. At Living Spaces you can finance your furniture for 18 months no interest so I was all over that. Here’s what my living room looks like now…
So think of me between 1:30 and 4:30 because that’s when it gets delivered. I’ll post pictures of my new stuff tomorrow!!!
Now, I have to tell you the story about Laura’s Babydoll. She is a racehorse that Onofrio named after me. She’s the sweetest girl in the whole wide world. For a thoroughbred, she’s extremely calm and loving. She loves to give kisses. My whole family got to meet her this weekend.
These horses are so well taken care of. They get baths everyday. Here’s Laura’s Babydoll getting washed.
Her very first race is on Wednesday. I just hope and pray that she runs safe. That’s all I care about.
In case you are wondering, I do have mixed feelings about horse racing. It’s really exciting and fun to watch. These animals are so majestic and so beautiful. It’s quite an honor to be up close to one of them. When they are retired they live the rest of their lives at farms and sanctuaries. I hope that one day I can adopt LBD when she’s finished racing. I do have a problem with the fact that some of these animals have to be put down. It hurts to think about it. But, now that I have seen how well taken care of they are, I feel better about horse racing. These animals love to run. At least that’s what LBD’s trainer has to say about her. Maybe my calling is to help retired race horses or something. I’m stressing about posting this diary because of the negative comments I might get. Please don’t be too mean.
Getting all dressed up to go to the Turf Club has been really fun. Mel, Gina, Joey, Emily, Robert, Onofrio and I went to the races last Friday and we had a blast. I had flower crowns made for the girls. I think they turned out cute!
Oh, I have to tell you that Evan has done a complete 180 when it comes to me dating Onofrio. She used to dislike that fact that I was dating him. She didn’t like him and she didn’t like me even saying his name. In the last month, she has come a long way. I can honestly say that Evan likes Onofrio and that makes me so happy.
See you later, Diary.
