Candy Apple is the KYXY Kritter this week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 2 year old, almost 9 pound, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Torbie coat. That’s a mix of Tortoiseshell and Tabby.

The care providers and volunteers in the cattery agree that Candy Apple is an “old soul.” She appreciates comfort. Give her a blanket and she will knead it with her front paws until she gets it purr-fect. She wants to meet new people on her own terms and in her own time. Once she’s comfortable, she loves having people pet her gently. We get the feeling that her previous family didn’t give her the tenderness and attention she craves. Now she’s ready for a home with some adults and older kids that can help her come out of her shell.

Candy Apple was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through FOCAS.

The $100 adoption fee includes her medical exam, up to date vaccinations, spay and registered microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org.
Kennels and Cattery are open 11 to 5 every day but Tuesday.
