I can’t sleep lately. What’s the deal with that? I’m usually a big-time sleeper. Heck, I can sleep at work if I wanted to. I don’t, but I could. And, don’t say it’s because it’s “that time” of my life. So far I have no other symptoms, and I don’t want to think about that right now. I’ll be the first to tell you when “that time” has arrived.
Maybe it’s all the Red Bull I drink. That’s a problem. I’m addicted. What can I say? I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs. I have one vice, caffeine. One of these days I’ll give that up too and only be addicted to working out. Haha.
Onofrio and I “won” a silent auction in the summer and we finally got around to using it. We “won” six personal training sessions. So, we finally pulled out that piece of paper and called the guy. We’ve been going for a few weeks now and it’s awesome. I wish I had the money to have him train us three days a week. He kicked our butt yesterday. I was so tired I almost missed the Pump Rules Wedding.
OMG it was such a great wedding, I almost cried. It got me thinking about what I would want for my wedding. I’ve never thought about a wedding in my life. The first time I got married, we eloped. Now I’m all into this wedding, and Say Yes To The Dress – I’ve never tried on a wedding dress.
Now back to Vanderpump Rules…how about Jax professing his love for Brittany and Tom wanting to marry Ariana? Or how about Lisa wanting to open a restaurant after the Toms called Tom Tom? And how about Sheana and Shay? Yikes! He blew it, but then again she’s a handful and we all knew that marriage wouldn’t last. I know it’s reality TV but I eat it up like dessert.
Speaking of eating it up, I’m in love with horseback riding. We did it for the second time last weekend. This time we took Charlie and Evan. They LOVED it.
We go to a place called San Diego Beach Rides at Ponyland. They have a petting zoo with a llama and baby goats. There’s a camel and a zebra and, of course, all the horses.
We rode through the Tijuana River Valley which is beautiful right now because of all the rain. The trails are so well maintained and the beach is about a 45 minute ride out and 45 mins back. We have yet to do that ride because it’s gonna be a long one. Here are some pics from Saturday. And, yes, Evan is on a mule. Her name was Annie. My horse was Cookie and Onofrio’s was Jake. Charlie had Vinnie.
On Sunday, we had a fun day at Santa Anita with my mom and Auntie Doo Doo (her BFF Judy Church.) I just love seeing them together. They have been friends since they were 14-years old. The two of them bet $1 on each race and get excited when they win 6 bucks. It’s so cute. I could watch them all day.
My mom has been having trouble with her right hand. She can barely use it because of a pinched nerve and carpal tunnel. I’m worried about the surgeries. She’s 76 and I worry about her recovery. I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it. My brother is going to be moving in with her temporarily to take care of her. That’s a giving thing to do. I’m proud of him.
Today I get to pick up Evan and entertain her all day because she’s on Spring Break. Charlie’s break isn’t until the 10th of April. Why don’t they have one week designated for Spring Break? It would make life so much easier.
Life is good, though. Really good. I am continually grateful.
See you later, Diary.
