San Diego Honors Star Wars’ Mark Hamill With a Street Name

By Mark Blackwell

As a nice lead-up to Comic-Con, the San Diego City Council, at the urging of Councilman Chris Cate, has used “the force” and voted unanimously to name a section of a Clairemont Mesa street after Star Wars star, Mark Hamill.

Hamill lived in the San Diego neighborhood during his junior high school years, and attended his first year of high school at Madison High School, before moving to Virginia.

He’ll be honored with street signs reading “Mark Hamill Drive” along the 5900 block of Castleton Drive, where we lived.
