Age: 1 year
Weight: 60 pounds
Gender: Neutered Male
Breed: Belgian Malinois (Mal’-in wah)
Mowgli is this week’s KYXY Kritter at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a
1 year old, 60 pound, Belgian Malinois. They look similar to German Shepherds, but the breed began in France.
If the name Mowgli sounds familiar, you might be thinking of the little boy from “The Jungle Book.”
Belgian Malinois are often trained to be explosive and drug sniffing dogs or service dogs. One of the volunteers says that Mowgli is “unemployed” and he needs a job.
What’s not to like? He’s a great looking dog. He’s loving, active, and smart. He knows Sit, Shake Paw, Lay Down, and Cuddle. Mogli’s not looking for a desk job. He needs someone who will keep him challenged mentally and physically.
The $145 adoption fee for Mowgli includes medical exam, vaccinations, Neuter, and microchip.
