AJ has been a fixture on San Diego radio for 15 years. Before making it to America’s Finest City, his California-exclusive career path led him from Sonoma County, to San Francisco and then to Monterey Bay.
He has also served as a fill in host for the Nationally Syndicated “Hollywood Hamilton Top 40 Countdown” and as head writer for the Nationally Syndicated “House of Blues Radio Hour,” hosted by Dan Akroyd.
AJ’s favorite job is fatherhood, as he and his wife Lindsey have two adorable daughters Kaylee and Izzy who keep them very busy.
An avid runner, you may have seen AJ running some of San Diego’s beloved races such as The San Diego Half-Marathon, the San Diego Rock n’ Roll Half-Marathon and the Heartbreak Ridge Half-Marathon at Camp Pendleton.
He also loves to cook and is a life-long practitioner of martial arts.
In 2012, AJ was recognized as San Diego’s “Celebrity Philanthropist of the Year” by the SD Philanthropy Society for his work to support the kids at Rady Children’s Hospital via his “AJ’s Kids Fund.”
For the past fifteen years AJ has headed efforts to provide toys and other fun but non-essential items to the hospital’s young patients.
He has collected more than 1,200,000 toys for the young patients at Rady Children’s Hospital.
