Music fanatics will not be able to resist the upcoming weekend at the Del Mar racetrack. Get ready to dance the weekend away with your loved ones while enjoying all the summer activities and fun of the track. In addition to the two concerts, expect to eat a ton of delicious and food. Warm up your vocal cords because this music-themed weekend will be one you will always remember.
The tunes kick off on Friday, August 4, after the last race. See the rock band, Eagles Of Death Metal, live at the Seaside Stage.
Despite the name, this band’s sound is more classic garage rock with elements of The Rolling Stones. Their music will definitely pump you up for the weekend ahead. Racetrack admission is only $6 and includes concert access, so be sure to show up before the last race, otherwise concert admission is $20.
Are you feeling like a VIP? Purchase a Premium View ticket for only $50 and help yourself to the best seats in the house. To make it even better, your section will have its own bar and bathroom so you can skip the lines and enjoy your night stress-free. Concerts are 18+ and standing room only. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
Fridays never let us down, especially with Party In The Plaza happening from 2 to 6 p.m. every Friday during racing season. Relax in Plaza de Mexico for drink specials and talk about the races before heading over to the concert later that night.
Fans 21 and up will get half-off all signature and beloved cocktails throughout the track – including the Del Margarita, Del Martini, Del Mojito, Del Mule and more!
Don’t forget your cowboy boots and arrive in a pick-up truck because Country Fest is on Saturday, August 5. Watch local country bands perform all day long in the concert area west of the grandstand. While you’re listening to the live music, help yourself to FREE chili samples when the Chili Cookoff returns to Del Mar.
You’ll even get to help crown the winner in the People’s Choice category. Head over to the main stage around 7 p.m. to see a performance by country-star, Billy Currington. He will take the spotlight and you will get to dance the night away. The concert is free with racetrack admission and VIP tickets will also be available.
